To raise awareness about issues affecting the elderly, such as senescence (the condition or process of deterioration with age) and elderly abuse. To also appreciate the contributions that older people make to the society. Our elderly are pillars of society and they deserves love, care and support regardless of their socio economic status. The activities for the day will be sporting activities across most of the sporting codes. The elderly will be competing by regions.

The celebration will be in hosted in the Capital region and it will be on the 18^th of October 2019. This commemoration is celebrated throughout the world and it is known as International Day of Older Persons.

In Scope:

• Consultation meeting with the Aged Club;
• Consultation sessions with relevant stakeholders;
• Arrange catering; 
• Secure venues for the event; and
• Close out report.
