To ensure that the developmental agenda will be achieved “Vision 2020 has been developed with the aim of enabling the RBN to become a self-sufficient community by the end of the second decade of the 21st century. This ambitious goal will be achieved only if the development of the RBN’s communal assets and human capital is maximized so that the economic empowerment of individuals within the community is advanced
RBN’s Vision 2020 is a long-term plan to address the challenges faced by the Bafokeng people by creating opportunities for the people of the region over the next two decades to become economically self-sufficient participants in the regional and national economy”
Royal Bafokeng Institute embarked on a process of establishing Training Schools for Adults where Royal Bafokeng. The majority of school leavers do not get access to university. At the same time these Training Schools for Adults will also be available to other members of the RBN Community who complies with entry requirements, and who would like to further their skills in respective fields. Several schools have been established of which the Construction School at Maile Diepkuil is one of them. Skills training will be in the form theory and practicals at schools. Experiential learning will form a critical component of this programme to allow learners the ability to practice their newly acquired skills in real life situations.
In Scope
To offer Construction related Programmes, Trade Test Preparation within allocated budget.
To develop the training centre at Maile Diepkuil to become a Centre for Excellence within the Construction, Mining and Manufacturing Industries
The Construction School will be recruiting up to a 100 Learners from the Royal Bafokeng Nation twice a year for training in construction and related skills for timelines appropriate to the specific programmes. The related skills include:
- Bricklaying
- Painting
- Plumbing
- Carpentry
- Electricity
- Welding
- Paving
- Boiler Making
- Construction Supervisor
To present programmes within the approved budget

- Learnerships Maximum 18 Months
