The Procurement Department main function is the efficient, effective, uniform and duly authorized procurement of all assets, goods and services required for the proper functioning of RBI’s business affairs. To achieve this, the Procurement Department aims to re-align its Procurement Policies, procedures and systems to meet World Class best practised standards.
The Procurement department supports the RBI mission through a set of key strategies which includes:
To contribute to the achievement of the RBI Vision, Mission and Strategic Plan through the identification of appropriate Procurement strategies, trends and opportunities.
To ensure the provision of a cost effective and efficient Procurement Service to all Clusters to enable them to effectively deliver on their projects while effectively implementing local economic empowerment.
The Procurement Department falls within the Support Cluster. This ensures the effectiveness of its operations whilst increasing its efficiency.
The focus of the Procurement Department is always to deliver a quality service to its clients and stakeholders whilst always realising the empowerment and advancement of the local community.
