Programme Executive Summary (Scope):

To review external research requests, align them with RBN priorities, monitor the progress of various stages of the research process and ensure relevance of outputs to RBN

In Scope:

  • Evaluate the independent research proposals according to RBN priorities and quality criteria
  • Select only qualified and relevant research proposals for permission to conduct research
  • Assist selected independent researchers conceptualise research
  • Assist selected independent researchers to appropriately access and communicate with RBN stakeholders
  • Maintain communication with independent researchers throughout research process
  • Monitor the content of the papers being produced by the researchers
  • Obtain a copy of the final paper written by the researchers and potentially archive raw research materials
  • Faciliate appropriate presentation of research findings to RBN stakeholders, including analysis of lessons learned for RBN priorities
