Programme Executive Summary (Scope):

To monitor land development activities as prescribed by the RBN Land Policies. To maintain compliance with RBN Land Policy Regulations in order to achieve optimal use of land;

In scope:

  • To approve the allocation of all stands and building plans.
  • To provide regulatory frameworks for Development Planning;
  • To monitor building plans & building regulations;
  • Conduct research for optimal land use management;
  • Develop and implement land use management policies in line with National legislation and guidelines;
  • Engage and advise community members on Land use management and compliance;
  • Protect and preserve land, fauna and flora in terms of sustainable development principles (NEMA);
  • Advice community members on land allocation process and procedures;
  • Capturing and maintenance of residential & business applications data base;
  • Liaise with relevant departments for site identification & allocations;
  • Site visits to monitor compliance with RBN Masterplan and RBN Land Use Management Policies and Regulations; and
  • Liaise with mines, private organisations, government departments and Municipalities for information sharing on Land Use changes.
