Programme Executive Summary (Scope):

To get the community involved in crime fighting initiatives, by encouraging them to give information on any suspicious persons or stolen goods, by engaging them in neighbourhood watch programmes, village patrols, & educating them of their safety rights.

In scope:

  • Crime awareness campaigns;
  • Crime presentations to Makgotla;
  • Establishment of Community Safety Committees (CSC);
  • Regional executive CSC meetings;
  • Local CSC meetings;
  • Marking of identified hot spots;
  • Monitoring of CSC;
  • CSC training in client service;
  • Door to door campaigns; and
  • Annual CSC closing ceremony.
