Programme Executive Summary (Scope):

To get the community involved in crime fighting initiatives, by encouraging them to give information on any suspicious persons or stolen goods, by engaging them in neighbourhood watch programmes, village patrols, & educating them of their safety rights.
In scope:
- Crime awareness campaigns;
- Crime presentations to Makgotla;
- Establishment of Community Safety Committees (CSC);
- Regional executive CSC meetings;
- Local CSC meetings;
- Marking of identified hot spots;
- Monitoring of CSC;
- CSC training in client service;
- Door to door campaigns; and
- Annual CSC closing ceremony.
