Programme Executive Summary (Scope):

The primary aim of the Organisational Performance & Project Management Office (OPMO) is to support attainment of the vision, mission and strategies of the RBN, as set out in Vision 2035, through monitoring RBN group performance and ensuring well managed projects and programmes, i.e. to ensure the transparent monitoring of all projects and programmes of the RBN in terms of quality, cost, schedule and scope. And to ensure that the OPMO executes its functional objectives in line with the allocated budget, human resource practices, and procurement procedures of the RBN and that the OPMO is strategically aligned with the RBN Vision and Mission.

In scope:

  • Registering and monitoring of all RBN projects and programmes on the Operations Room website;
  • Monitor that every project manager updates project and programmes;
  • Monitoring of Organisational Performance;
  • Reporting on projects, programmes and Organisational Performance;
  • Updating the M&E indicators on the How Do We Compare maps;
  • Facilitate Project and Programme Management workshops;
  • Visit every registered project for milestone completion quality control;
  • Monitor every project’s GIS link for correctness;
  • Perform and analyse annual needs assessments on skills, knowledge, perceptions, systems and structure to support the successful management of projects;
  • Compile and disseminate the monthly OPMO newsletter, the Bokgabane (featured project/programme of the month);
  • Facilitating communication with Morafe through bulk SMS;
  • Ensure hosting and uptime of the OPMO system;
  • Perform an annual Strategic Review of the OPMO;
  • Ensure the development of a correct and approved OPMO budget is available for the following year;
  • Track, report and monitor expenditure against allocated budget;
  • Monitor adherence to procurement procedures;
  • Monitor adherence to human resource policies;
  • Facilitate Performance Appraisals with each OPMO employee; and
  • Monitor OPMO progress against operational plan targets.
