To compare IT tablet interventions in two RBN primary schools.  An open ended intervention using Apple iPads will be used in one school.  The second school will have a structured programme using Android tablets.  A baseline assessment will be administered in both schools and a post assessement test after six months will measure the effects of the different programmes on teaching and learning. 

In Scope:

• Two grade six classes in two primary schools using Apple or Android tablets
• Assessment administered by RBI
• Research conducted by NWU Potchefstroom
• Training and materials supplied by Service provider
• Wifi networking provissioned by RBA for the duration of the project

Out of Scope:

• The rollout of the project to other primary schools in the RBN region
