Project Scope:	To conduct workshops for the SGB'S in all the regions on their roles and functions by October 2010. It is the objective of the Royal Bafokeng Institute to acquire a Section 14 status to play a more significant role in the affairs of every school situated within the Bafokeng area. This will be achieved through an Agreement between the Royal Bafokeng Nation and the MEC of the Department of Education (DoE). The purpose of the Agreement is to regulate the relationship between an Owner of a private land (in our case, the Royal Bafokeng Nation) in which the public school is situated and the DoE. The schools should be in a position to take into account the rights and interests of the Owner in governing the schools. This means that the Owner, through the Agreement, would have a more significant role to play with the School Governing Body(SGB) and the School Management team. The School Management team of the RBI will ensure that an Agreement is in place by March 2010 and is properly understood and implemented by the schools that are situated on the Royal Bafokeng
