Due to budget constraints, inadequate resources and support , the teachers at Nkobong Secondary School and other schools have been experiencing high levels of emotional stress, lack of focus and increased feeling of anxiety, resulting in low  performance, and drop in pass rates and class attendance.

On the first week of February 2015, Thuto Thebe Educational Fund is facilitating the Emotional Intelligence course with the EPL Pledge/donation from Oceana HRP, to help them to monitor their own and learners’ emotions, to discriminate between different emotions and label them appropriately, and to use emotional information to guide thinking and behaviour.
