Programme Executive Summary (Scope):
|
The Governance and Management function of the School unit supports the establishment and functioning of School Governing Bodies (SGBs) and School Management Teams (SMTs); and assist in the understanding of section 14 with reference to among others Kgosi`s appointees serving on the various SGBs of the RBN schools. This will be done through workshops, trainings and information sessions.
The scope of this Programme includes and excludes the following items:
In Scope
-
Provide induction and appropriate training of the members of the training team (Unit staff) (train the trainer model).

Provide induction and appropriate training to SGB members and SMTs.

Develop monitoring and assessment procedures for governance.
Out of Scope
-
Ensure that SGBs adhere to and respect schools teaching time.

Ensure stakeholder participation in school governance and management.

Ensure that SGBs adhere to regulations and policies relating to governance in schools.
