Programme Executive Summary (Scope):

The programme aims to provide the Bafokeng schools with well qualified primary school teachers to fulfil the needs of schools and the nation. Graduates complete their degrees and the following year they repay the bursary through service in Bafokeng schools.
It has been necessary to provide constant mentorship and support to the students and young teachers as they embark on the different stages of their careers.
In Scope
-
selection and recruitment of qualifying candidates.

provide mentorship and support for students for duration of studies.

ensure the placement of graduates in Bafokeng schools on completion of their studies.

mentorship of graduate teachers for loan payback period.

support graduate teachers with further studies
Out of Scope

recruiting and mentoring students studying for high schools

sending students to universities other than the campus of Potchefstroom.

mentoring students other than education students on campus.
