Programme Executive Summary (Scope):

The Tertiary Education Programme together with the Tertiary, Vocational Education and Training Department (TVET) aims to ensure that resources are efficiently spent for the benefit of the Nation through:
- Finding a proper balance between loans for University and loans for Vocational Training
- Ensuring the long – term financial sustainability of tertiary funding
- Provision of safe and secure accommodation, necessary books and food allowances for needy students and psychological support services
The scope of this project includes the following items:
In Scope:
- Approving RBI Tertiary institutions
- Awarding means tested student loans
- Appoint a company to set up and implement the repayment of student loans
- Determining procedures regarding consequences for poor performance
- Develop documentation and student loan data base
