The Royal Bafokeng Institute intends to capacitate all School Managers for effective and efficient management of all RBN schools including assisted schools. The realization of this dream will enable the schools to provide quality education to all school communities falling under the jurisdiction of Royal Bafokeng Institute. All schools will strive for excellence under effective management of school management teams. RBI plan 2035 of creating a child- centred community of creative, independent thinkers and problem-solvers will be accomplished.

The RBI School Management Team will embark on a programme of equipping all school managers with resources relevant to management skills from January 2011 for effective management. The team will also support, motivate and assess school managers on an ongoing basis for the betterment of their performance

The scope of this project includes and excludes the following items:

In Scope:

• Perform a stakeholder analysis of all RBN Schools.
• Perform needs analysis and identifying problem areas in all schools within the Bafokeng Region.
• Consultations with the DOE (Rustenburg APO) when conducting workshops
• Organise logistics for the workshops
• Provide assessment tool for school management (Education Evaluation and Development Unit evaluation template)
• Make provision for feedback sessions
• Develop workshop materials for SMT within SAQA standards
• Workshop SMT on the understanding of the legislative framework for school governance
