The 13^th year programme will involve individuals who are taking a year off between school and tertiary. The programme will also give the 13^th Year students time to develop before they move on to tertiary studies. The team will be based at Lebone II College of the Royal Bafokeng. During this year some individuals(about 8 mathematicians) will assist Dave Ryan and Lebone teachers when they teach in schools, run Master Teacher Workshops etc.  They will also improve their:

• English by attending sessions run by the RBI/Lebone II Staff
• Life Skills by attending various courses run by Lebone II staff
• Mathematics by attending various courses run by Lebone II staff
• Physical Science by attending courses run by Lebone II staff

The scope of this project includes and excludes the following items:

In Scope:

• Maximum of 40 individuals recruited
• Individuals may come from any school
• Focus on Mathematics, Physical Science, English and Life Skills
• Focus on matric students
• Provide the programme for other learning areas at Lebone II
• Advise Project Leader on Curriculum
• More than 40 individuals in the first year

Out of Scope:

• More than 40 individuals in the first year
