To monitor the construction of a 3.4 Km road in Luka. The construction is done Impala Platinum Mine to ensure that it is of good standard and due process is being followed. The road is being constructed to upgrade existing gravel roads in Luka village. This will be accomplished by making use of consultants (Civil engineers) and a contractor with a CIDB grading of no less than six.
Since the road is being constructed on the Royal Bafokeng Nations' (RBN) land, the administration has a vested interest therein. The project manager from the RBN Infraco department will monitor the project through means of receiving and analysing progress reports and attending site meetings throughout the duration of the project that will come to conclusion on 18 July 2017.
In scope:
Community awareness and involvement;
Approval of road construction and constructions designs;
Approval of borrow and spoil sites and rehabilitation plan;
Approval of programme of works (Start to Completion);
Monitoring construction process (Site meetings including progress reports); and
