To raise awareness about issues affecting the elderly, such as senescence (the condition or process of deterioration with age) and elderly abuse. To also appreciate the contributions that older people make to the society. Our elderly are pillars of wisdom, they deserves love, care and support regardless of their socio economic status. The activities for the day will be music competition and poems. The elderly will be competing by regions.

The celebration will be in hosted in the Capital region and it will be on the 26^th of October 2018. This commemoration is celebrated throughout the world and it is known as International Day of Older Persons.

In Scope:

• Consultation meeting with the Aged Club;
• Consultation sessions with the Stakeholders;
• Organise Gifts;
• Secure venues for the event; and
• Close out report.
