To celebrate the International day for people with disabilities in the RBN. This is to raise awareness about issues affecting the disabled in our communities, the stigma that community has on people with disability. This will be accomplished by facilitating a campaign whereby various stakeholders, community members and the aged club members will be invited to participate. The People with disabilities will also be screened for any medical ailments by health professionals. The celebration will be hosted at the Phokeng Conference Centre on the 7th of December 2018.
In scope:
Consultation meeting with the People with Disability forum members;
Consultation sessions with the stakeholders;
Secure venue for the event;
Organize and secure logistics;
Inviting service providers; andÂ
Facilitating the campaign.
