To coordinate the establishment of a Place of Safety in RBN. A house will be renovated to meet the stipulated standards by the Department of Social Development at Luka to temporarily house abused, neglected and abandoned children pending investigations by Social Services practitioners. A committee constituting of Health and Social Development, Social Services unit, the Department of Social Development and other stakeholders will be formed to facilitate the establishment process. The project will be completed by November 2018.
In scope:
Establishment of a project committee;
Site visit before renovations;
Renovations;
Project approval;
Development of an operational Plan with the committee; and
Official centre opening.
