To pilot the establishment of a substitution model (Mosaic Approach) in the RBN in 2019 in two RBN school. The aim of the substitution programme is to develop responsible and active youth who understand the dangers of substance abuse and are willing to become role models to their peers. Two groups of young people from the respective schools will be identified and selected from grade 8 classes. Among several initiative will be a youth camp excursion that will be conducted during June and September Holidays. The project will run from the 1st of April to 21st of February 2020.
In Scope:
Identify Pilot schools;
Gain entry in identified schools;
Develop a baseline study or questionnaire;
Administer baseline study and write report on findings;
Gain buy-in from relevant stakeholders (Governance and Reaction Force;
Procurement of refreshments and training material for holiday camps;
Host holiday camps (June and September); and
Review pilot programme and write report with recommendations.
Scope Change Requests:
1. Questionnaires and study report will not be done due to time constraints, in its place we have developed an information gathering form to start developing a database of beneficiaries.
2. The camp will not be done due to time constraints, in its place we will be conducting two intervention sessions at the school, each session will be done over two hours.
