To oversee the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the Mining Right Application, Waste Management License and Water Use License. A service provider is appointed to conducted an independent environmental assessment and associated specialist studies for for the proposed Boekenhoutfontein Opencast Chrome Mining Project near Phokeng on the remainder of Portion 13 of the farm Boekenhoutfontein 260 JQ, Remainder of Portion 27 of the farm Boekenhoutfontein 260 JQ; Portion 2 of the farm Beerfontein 263 JQ and the Remaining Extent of the farm Turffontein 262 JQ, Rustenburg Local Municipality, North West Province.
The purpose of conducting an EIA is to assess the identified potential impacts associated with the proposed development and identify mitigations measures to reduce the significance of all the identified negative impacts.
