The Raffredy section in Phokeng has been experiencing a significant waterbed forming beneath houses due to a geological issue—a rock formation is blocking the underground water flow, causing it to accumulate. This rising waterbed has had several negative effects, including septic tank waste surfacing, muddy ground, and and dampening of home walls. Addressing this issue requires a holistic and practical approach to ensure a long-term solution for residents. To this end, a service provider has been appointed to implement a comprehensive plan. The project is scheduled to run from September 2024 to December 2024.
