To refurb the current archives room into a state-of-the-art physical archive that safeguards the Bafokeng’s tangible heritage through advanced preservation techniques, climate-controlled storage, and comprehensive cataloging, facilitating research, educational outreach, and corporate use. To build an archive that is not just a repository of traditional and corporate records but a dynamic resource that supports the community’s identity, rights, and aspirations while adapting to the evolving digital landscape. To facilitate these physical renovations, the documents currently stored in the archive need to be temporarily relocated to a safe space, specifically the mobile archives.
