To refurbish the Thekwane Waste Water Treatment Plant by replacing the parts "like-for-like" and upgrading the fencing to electrical fences. The RBA undertook a comprehensive condition assessment of these facilities, which included evaluations of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil, security, and sewer outfall line functionality. A service provider will be appointed for the required refurbishment works and an OHS consultant will be appointed to ensure compliance with the specific requirements of the Construction Regulations (February 2014) under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993). The project is planned to span from the 19th of December 2024 to 12 August 2025.
